Misty Copelands neues Bilderbuch “Bunheads, Akt 2”, erscheint im September

Nach ihrem Bestseller-Bilderbuch “Bunheads” plant sie eine Fortsetzung. Am 16. September wird der Penguin Random House-Abdruck Nancy Paulsen Books “Bunheads, Akt 2: Tanz des Mutes” veröffentlichen. Das neue Buch, in dem Misty und ihre Freunde eine Aufführung von “Don Quixote” besuchen, wird erneut von Setor Fiadzigbey illustriert.
Für Misty Copeland war es eine Freude, an der Fortsetzung von “Bunheads” zu arbeiten und sie zurück in das Studio zu bringen, in dem ihre eigene Ballettreise begann. “Die Rückkehr zu diesen Charakteren fühlt sich persönlich an und spiegelt die Gemeinschaft wider, die mich als Tänzerin und Mensch geprägt hat”, sagte Copeland in einer Erklärung am Mittwoch. “Durch das Ballett von Don Quixote erkunden wir Resilienz, Mitgefühl und die Kraft der Freundschaft, Werte, die meine frühen Jahre geprägt haben.”
