Biwak Celebration in Düsseldorf: Eleven from the Dörp Joyously Celebrate – Ddorf-Update
In a heartwarming display of camaraderie and festivity, President Carsten Franke and Honorary President Heinz Nunnendorf welcomed numerous guests from the KG Elf vom Dörp on the schoolyard of the Kartause-Hain-Schule on Unterrather Straße this past Saturday, February 22nd. The air was filled with excitement as delegations from many friendly societies and neighbors gathered to join in the celebration.

The highlight of the evening undoubtedly belonged to Prinz Andreas I. and Venetia Evelyn, who were met with thunderous applause and cheers from the crowd. Venetia Evelyn, in a light-hearted moment, remarked on her beloved prince, stating, “Andreas’ voice may be fading, but the atmosphere certainly isn’t.” As a playful jest, the Prince teased that now that Venetia has taken up residence in her room in the Hofburg, she is truly a Düsseldorfer.

As the festivities unfolded, two senior ladies in wheelchairs were presented with the Prinzenpaarorden by the Prince and Princess, much to their delight. Beyond the vibrant performances and entertainment, the biwak also offered a delectable spread of refreshments, a fact that was not lost on the royal couple and their entourage following their own splendid performance.
In a delightful turn of events, the children’s Prinzenpaar from the Unterrather Funken, Felix & Ida, took the stage, accompanied by Solomarie Luise, who adeptly navigated a technical hiccup with grace, even in the absence of music. The audience was captivated by their youthful exuberance and talent.
Among the distinguished guests was the Prinzengarde der Stadt Düsseldorf, led by President Dirk Kemmer, who arrived in grand fashion, enthralling attendees with their captivating dance and melodious songs.
